Youth Tennis Program

The ATCC Youth Tennis Program provides a comprehensive pathway of progressive instructional programs for students of all ages and skill levels while encouraging them to adopt tennis as a fun lifetime sport.

Tennis is a safe and challenging sport that provides many physical, mental, and social benefits. Our tennis classes are designed as part of a developmental pathway where the size of the court and the equipment are both age and skill appropriate. As students’ progress through our programs, they learn technical fundamentals, adaptive strategies, and creative problem solving.

Futures Level (Ages 4 to 6)
- Fridays: 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  
  The Futures Level Tennis Program at Altadena Town & Country Club is committed to providing excellence in instruction as well as fun and exciting introduction to tennis for our future stars. The children improve hand-to-eye coordination, reflexes, strength and agility while learning the fundamentals of the game.
Challenger Level (Ages 7 to 11)
- Mondays & Wednesdays: 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  
  Students will be taught the basic strokes, grips, court terms and proper tennis etiquette in a fun and positive atmosphere. The goal is to ensure a love for the game at an early age thereby motivating the students to continue moving up to the next level.
Masters Level (Ages 12 & Up)
- Mondays & Wednesdays: 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
  
  While continuing instruction on strokes, serves, and court etiquette, students will learn to play singles and doubles. Ball control will also be introduced. Students must have prior knowledge of the basics through a beginner class or have instructor approval for enrollment.

ATCC's Tennis Academy

Instructor approval required.

For Junior players that have already started their tennis journey, ATCC’s After School Tennis Academy is designed to help develop players who are interested in taking their game to the next level.

Throughout the week, we will provide professional instruction, competitive drills, tennis specific games, and organized match play. Our Tennis Academy will prepare your child for singles and doubles match play in a fun and competitive setting.
